Mary Edna Smith died of diphtheria Oct. 20, 1900, aged 6 years, 3 months and 1 day. Ever small and delicate, with a mind far in advance of one of her years, she had just begun the race of life. Ten days has seen the start and finish of her school life. Her lovely disposition and unselfish ways drew her the love and attention of all. -s
